Last but not least and certainly the strangest addition, we have Rihanna’s 2007 hit, Shut up and Drive. The slower parts of the song is pretty cool and unique…actually I don’t hear any dubstep at all…HAPPY AZN! As the tune continues on, I’m kind of annoyed and the sound clips of Ralph being used since I just want to hear the music and not the whole…I’M GONNA WRECK IT! bits. What I learned from it all it’s kind of like a collaboration because Noisia is the one at the reins and not so much Skrillex but it feels like it’s a mixture of both.

Plus the song has an interesting guitar solo…then again most of the time I’m just like ~S-U-G-A-R, jump into your racing car…so SUGAR RUSH, SUGAR RUSH~….it’s that friggin catchy!!!Īs we escape that tooth decaying track we run into Skrillex is let’s be honest a popular artist in America for popularizing “dubstep” or as I like to call it WARBLE WARBLE FFFFFFFFF I assume with Bug Hunt (Noisia Remix), it’s based off the shooter in the movie. The members that were chosen aren’t surprises at all because they’re all P-O-P-U-L-A-R. With a title that’s based off the arcade racer in the movie, Sugar Rush is actually not bad of a song and kind of sounds entirely different from anything AKB usually does in Japan so they were given something sweet to work with (no pun intended).

Though I will admit there’s some that have done better justice to this song like Jump5’s version…yeah you know the one that was used in Kim Possible >.< EMBARASSING.Īs a reviewer (and so are my other buddies of course) we all listen to J-pop A LOT so I myself was surprised to see that Japan’s biggest-selling girl group, AKB48 actually did a song for the movie (and yes it’s on ALL the versions of the soundtrack.

It’s so happy and celebratory and just full of cool disco vibes that it’s hard to hate a song like this. It’s a silly song overall and should be listened to for the sheer lulz.Īs if the album wasn’t done with nostalgic trips, the next song Celebration is a song that everyone knows in some fashion or another since it’s been covered to hell and back! For this release we have the original song from Kool & The Gang and this was released in 1980 so that’s quite a while ago. It’s funny though because the song’s lyrical content mirrors the movie’s game which is pretty awesome in its own right. The arrangement still sounds quite dated like a 70’s tune. Still…it’s such an amazing track and stood out!Ī lot of people would not recognize Buckner & Garcia, but the people who were alive in the 70’s will easily recognize them because they were the ones that created Pac-Man Fever back in the haydays when Arcade machines were hugely popular! I’m happy that Disney went out of their way to get this duo because these two really were the “Arcade Game group” for doing songs based off of classics like Donkey Kong, Centipede, etc… So coming into their song, Wreck it, Wreck-it Ralph a whole bunch of nostalgia just blasted into my ears. That being said, this song is a jam as well since it took what Adam was good at and gave it more of a sparkly and hook-friendly track that makes me just want to jizz happy feelings! I just love this hell out of this song and while the Music Video is an awkward mess (let’s be honest, Adam kind of just is awkward when it comes to his videos). Add the fact that the song is super familiar to his recent hit, Good Time. It’s pretty much familiar territory because I do love Owl City a lot and his recent album is still banging in my mind. The movie’s main song and promo song, Owl City’s When Can I See You Again?. The first song that I come across is actually the main reason I decided to take a look at this album in the first place.

Interestingly enough, the album was quite interesting for the most part but I will not review the entire album, only the first 6 tracks (which are strangely enough, the only ones with lyrical content so let’s jump right into it shall we?

ANYWAY, the soundtrack was released on Octoand personally it was the first Disney soundtrack I was relatively interested in in a LONG WHILE. The Wreck-it Ralph Soundtrack of course was released to promote the movie (or vice-versa), who knows in this age.
